I’ve been up with Colby since 3:30 this morning. The nurse wanted to use a catheter because he hadn’t peed since 10:00 am yesterday morning. I had to pull out all my tricks but he finally did.
Shortly after the neurosurgeon came in to see how he was doing. He said his incisions look great, his vitals are great and if we’re good with going home it would be easier to discharge us today or keep him over the weekend. Since we are doing anything else for him here that I don’t do for him at home, we’re leaving.
It will be a couple more hours until we get to leave but I’m so excited to sleep in my own bed tonight.
